Program Description:
This course equips participants with innovative tools to address attachment wounds in clients, blending theories from Psychodrama and Role-theory with EMDR techniques, particularly the use of metaphors in reprocessing treatment. It delves into foundational concepts such as imprinting, influenced by the studies of Konrad Lorenz, and attachment theories from Bowlby, enriching the practitioner's approach to emotional healing.
You will explore the Identity Matrix within Psychodrama, focusing on child development phases, and learn how EMDR can be effectively used to reprocess traumas impacting attachment. The course also covers the strategic implementation and therapeutic use of metaphors, enhancing the reprocessing of deep-seated emotional issues.
Goals & Objectives:
At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:
- Explain the impact of Lorenz’ theory of imprinting with animals and how this can affect human being as well.
- Describe Bowlby’s attachment theory.
- Identify the five stages of child development theory developed by J. L. Moreno (Psychodrama and Role theory).
- Use metaphors in the EMDR practice of treating attachment.
