Program Description:

Cultivating Bouncebackability is about teaching individuals the skills to recover from stressful and traumatic life experiences in order to prevent both physical and mental health symptoms. With the increase of symptoms following COVID19, the world needs more advanced skills to promote hardiness, resilience, GRIT, and ultimately bouncebackability. These skills are also foundational for clients to successfully maneuver the trauma reprocessing phases of EMDR therapy. The concepts and skills taught in this workshop can stand alone and/or be integrated into the phases of EMDR therapy. Dr. Adler-Tapia has included bouncebackability skills for clients of all ages in order to promote healthier living for all.

Goals & Objectives:

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  1. Explain EMDR therapy and AIP theory
  2. Apply skills to manage intense affect in the EMDR Therapy trauma reprocessing phases.
  3. Identify the skills clients have and what they need to process with trauma reprocessing.
