QuaVandra Perry, Ph.D.
Dr. QuaVaundra Perry is a board certified and Christian psychologist with a specialty in couple and family psychology awarded by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP). She earned an undergraduate degree from Xavier University of Louisiana and doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of North Texas.
After completing practicum, internship, and postdoctoral residency at the Dallas VA Medical Center, she served as staff psychologist for several years. Additionally, she was assistant professor of psychiatry at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Currently, Dr. Perry is owner of a solo virtual private practice, Perry Psychological & Consultation Services. Since transitioning to full-time private practice in 2019, Dr. Perry has been dedicated to serving people in unique careers who want to be excellent without having to be perfect.
Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Perry is often seen teaching or giving talks about mental health, relationships, and the intersection of faith. Dr. Perry’s expertise has been featured in several media outlets including Therapy for Black Girls, Cosmopolitan, The Oprah Magazine, and Huffington Post. She is author of the books, The Emotion Devotional: 40 Day Journey to Emotional Wholeness and The Emotional Devotional Workbook. Dr. Perry is a member of the American Psychological Association and serves on the executive board for the American Board of Couple and Family Psychology.
