Dr. Raquel Hoersting is a Brazilian-American Assistant Professor for the Doctor of Psychology program at the University of Prince Edward Island (Canada), and an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Institute, Trainer, Facilitator and EMDRIA Approved Consultant. As an intercultural clinical psychologist, her research focuses on the intersection of culture and identity, trauma, and artistic/creative approaches to culturally congruent and sensitive psychotherapy practices. She is actively engaged in teaching and training clinical psychology graduate students and is involved in EMDR Therapy training with EMDR Treinamento e Consultoria. Her clinical practice focuses on EMDR Therapy with children, youth, and adults.
