About Us
Our Mission - The Steve Frankel Group, LLC (SFG) Founded in 2006, by A. Steven Frankel, Ph.D.
At SFG, our goal is to produce high-quality On-Demand and Live Webinar CE courses for Psychologists and Master's Degree level mental health professionals and clinicians. A primary goal is to provide high-quality continuing education in myriad subject matter areas in which non-medical mental health professionals practice or administer. This goal reflects the training needs of post-doctoral psychologists required by the American Psychological Association.
Our course content areas include law, ethics & risk management, child custody evaluations (CCEs), court-informed practitioners (CITs), trauma-informed clinicians, and EMDR practitioners. Another goal of SFG includes producing course work relevant to the impact of COVID-19/Delta variant on the pragmatics of psychologists' work within the state and federal judicial systems, including family law, civil and criminal jurisprudence, and the legal ethics surrounding using the internet for distant patient encounters.
Our Founder - A. Steven Frankel, Ph.D., JD, ABPP
Steven Frankel Ph.D., JD, ABPP, is a clinical psychologist (PSY3354) and an Attorney at Law licensed in California (SBN192014), and The District of Columbia (1009135). He is a Diplomate in both Clinical and Forensic Psychology from the American Board of Professional Psychology. He earned his Ph.D. at Indiana University, and interned at the Psychiatric Institute of Columbia University. He then joined the full-time faculty of The University of Southern California, where he served for eleven years, including five years as the Chair of Clinical Psychology (Director of Clinical Training). Although he is no longer full-time, he remains a Clinical Professor of Psychology at USC.
In 2015, Dr. Frankel received the Lifetime Achievement Award; International Society for the Study of Trauma & Dissociation, and the Award for Distinguished Contribution to Psychology – from the California Psychological Association,
Award for Distinguished Contribution to Psychology.
Executive Director - Mark E. Roseman, JD
Mark E. Roseman, JD, has been the executive director of The Steve Frankel Group, LLC since 2006. He graduated from the Western State University College of Law and was admitted to the California bar in 1978. He has many public policy achievements and maintains a blog online. View his CV >
