Program Description:
Co-parenting, the collaborative effort of separated or divorced parents to jointly raise their children from separate households, plays a crucial role in the well-being of children and the effectiveness of custody arrangements. This seminar for custody evaluators will focus on presenting co-parenting dynamics and co-parenting counseling principles, by examining key factors such as communication skills, conflict resolution skills, and the psychological impact on children. This seminar will describe various co-parenting issues and co-parenting counseling skills with the goal of discussing how to integrate them into custody recommendations.
This seminar will provide evaluators with a comprehensive understanding of how different co-parenting factors affect family dynamics and children’s adjustment. This seminar will teach custody evaluators how to assess co-parenting factors and understand the importance of co-parenting counseling, while being aware of the effects on children who are going through separation and divorce. This seminar will address how custody evaluations can create recommendations that prioritize the best interests of the child and emphasize the importance of healthy co-parenting.
