Approved for 1.5 Hours of CE Credit
Fulfills License Requirements | 2025 Annual Update Breakout Course

Program Description:
During a Parenting Plan Evaluation (PPE) or Child Custody Evaluation (CCE), evaluators may encounter resist/refuse dynamics in a child–parent relationship. When these dynamics are identified, evaluators must address them and provide the court with clear, evidence-based recommendations about appropriate next steps. This program introduces the Changes in Resist–Refuse Dynamics Checklist (CRDC) as a structured tool for assessing the nature, severity, and contributing factors behind a child’s resistance to or rejection of a parent. Participants will learn how to use the CRDC to support their PPEs or CCEs, guide their evaluation formulation, and prepare informed, defensible recommendations consistent with professional and evidence-based standards.
All content is consistent with California Rules of Court, rules 5.225 and 5.230, governing custody evaluator qualifications, and reporting requirements.
This course is a breakout course that was presented as part of the 8-hour 2025 Annual CCE Update.
Goals & Objectives:
